We are getting quite a few calls regarding the upcoming flu season.

There are a lot of unanswered questions, and as we get information we will post it here.

We have ordered our supply of regular flu shots and will be offering those in as of early September we strongly urge you to get the current flu vaccination.

There is no information about who will be able to order H1N1 flu shots this supply will be very limited for high-risk patients according to the CDC and their guidelines.  For those selected to receive the H1N1 shots, it will require 2 shots given on different days and we do not know if you can get a regular flu shot on the same day as the H1N1 shot.

The County Health Department website is very good and we encourage you to visit it click on the link for pandemic influenza at http://www.sccgov.org/portal/site/phd

In the mean time, WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY!!! Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze or cough into you arm.  Please stay home from work or school if you have a fever (above 99.5) and call us at 408 358-7360.

Thank you,

Catherine Grellet MD
